DIESEL OILS DEGRADATION 
Every day is more frequent to find samples of diesel oil that suffer a spontaneus degradation in a brief period of time (between weeks and half month) nondue to the microbial contamination. The reason for this fast degradation is unknown at the moment, not existing any study that provides a clear answer of the problem. Between the possible causes that they generate the diesel oil breakdown could be a curing of medium hydrocarbons to molecules of high molecular weight like reaction to previous craking, the incompatibility of the diesel oil mixtures of different origins in the storage tanks, or even incompatibility of the diesel oil with added additives of new generation to diesel oil it commercial in storage periods. BTC is looking for partners and collaborators at the moment that help to support the financing of an research project whose main aim is getting a clear answer on the cause of the diesel oil degradation.
