BIOFUELS

The industrial development of biofuels can be fixed in the last twenty years, although the exposition of using of them is joined to the own development of combustion motors.

Like answer to the petroleum crises of 1973 and 1978, the power policies of the years`80 fauvored the search of alternatives to the dependence of fossil fuels.

The present perception is that biofuels will not be able to replace conventional fuels totally, but to complement them in form of different mixtures with the purpose of reducing to the dependence respect to petroleum.

In BTC we have an researcher eagerness/effort of the possibilities that offer biofuels in different scopes and aspects, reason why developed different specific areas from R&D being able to include mainly in Biodiesel and Bioethanol study.
